    Diabetes courses

    diabetes_420.jpg

More than two million people in the UK are known to have diabetes — that’s about three in every 100 people. And there are an estimated one million people in the UK who have diabetes but don't know it. Over three-quarters of people with diabetes have Type 2 diabetes.

The courses aim to give GPs, hospital doctors, specialist nurses and other health professionals involved in the care of people with diabetes, the necessary knowledge and skills to provide high quality care.

The education programmes provided by the University of Warwick can help to support nurses to fulfil the Integrated Career and Competency Framework for Diabetes nursing which has been established between the professional bodies representing nurses who work in diabetes care.
