The course is designed to meet the needs of qualified health care professionals who work regularly with people with diabetes in a hospital. The course is offered at Level 5 (FHEQ) and requires approximately 300 hours of study. Healthcare professionals will need to be working in a clinical setting to undertake the assessment process for this course. Course podcast

Course Delivery
1. Advanced Leaders are trained by Warwick Medical School to deliver the course in their own locality. This tried and tested cascade approach, which utilises in-house expertise, ensures that the course is tailored to local needs. In addition, local networking and relationship building can take place and importantly it allows the development of local care pathways to occur. The Course Leaders are supported by WMS and every course is quality assured by the Education Team.
2. An online course undertaken by individual healthcare professionals is now available where students study the course online at a time and place convenient to the individual.
