What is the benefit to me?

This course has been designed for health professionals who wish to develop a special interest in public health but would also like to take some modules on other topics.

This makes it possible for the area of special interest to be reflected in the degree title, MSc Health Sciences (Public Health), while allowing the flexibility for work in a wide range of other areas (including medical education, health services management, diabetes care) to count towards the degree.

For health professionals wishing to follow a degree course entirely devoted to public health, one of our specialist programmes in public health would be more appropriate.

You can gain a Postgraduate Certificate (60 CATS), a Postgraduate Diploma (120 CATS), or go on to complete the full MSc (180 CATS)
