MA / MSc in Philosophy and Ethics of Mental Health

[c]

The MA in Philosophy and Ethics of Mental Health programme brings together philosophy and psychiatry. Attracting a mix of academically orientated philosophy graduates and mental-health professionals, it offers an outstanding example of the value there can be in engaging philosophy with practice and policy. It is available in full and part-time mode, both on-campus and also in a well-thought-through and excellently-presented distance learning version.

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) Report 2001

The PEMH programme offers six modules which can be taken either purely by distance learning or with additional local teaching. Each module can be a freestanding Postgraduate Award or part of the full Masters programme. The distance learning material includes about 500,000 words of specially written teaching material as well as copies of essential readings.
