Productive Ward
The course covers tools and techniques and therefore attendees will be expected to have an understanding of the theory of service improvement but may not have had practical experience of improvement projects.
Content:
- Value & Waste
- Preparing for and achieving flow
- Mapping & Analysis
- Problem solving and root cause analysis
- Improvement tools & action plans
Who should attend?
Service Improvement Practitioners - those who are at the beginning of their lean journey and have identified areas of improvement and are about to or have recently started to implement lean. You will be working as part of a service improvement team and will have the scope to undertake improvement projects within your workplace.
You will be expected to be able to undertake the various techniques between the workshops and therefore must be working in an environment where this can be undertaken without delay.
It is recommended that a maximum of five participants from any team within an NHS organisation attends a course. Ideally these should reflect a spectrum of disciplines and grades. We would suggest the team should include representation of each of the following groups: manager, clinician, executive/senior role, front line worker.
