Transfer Students - 2021 Entry

IMU/AUA students joining WMS in September each year will apply to the University Central Admissions Service (UCAS) as instructed by the admissions office.

On receiving an unconditional offer, transferring students need to start their application for a visa immediately. The International Office provides information on applying for a visa.

The University of Warwick Admissions Office handles the academic processes concerning your transfer to Warwick Medical School. The key contact is Stephen Keep, Admissions Coordinator, Postgraduate Admissions Service, S dot J dot Keep at warwick dot ac dot uk.

Arrival at Warwick

Transferring students join WMS in September each year and follow a bespoke induction programme before joining their Cohort for the remainder of the course. For 2021 entry, you would need to be available to start registration and induction processes on Monday 6th September 2021.

With the uncertainty relating to Covid 19 and possible ongoing international travel restrictions etc, we are currently monitoring the situation and the plan for your arrival. We will update individual transferring students as soon as we are able to, and by June at the latest. The induction week timetable will be published here (in due course).

Travel

You therefore need to ensure you have travel and visa arrangements in place for the start of September.

Our nearest airport is Birmingham Airport. There are good train links from the airport (Birmingham International) to Coventry.

You could alternatively fly to London and get a train to Coventry. Coventry station is nearer to our campus than Warwick or Warwick Parkway station.

  • Timetables for both Coventry and Birmingham can be checked at National Rail

Please note: Tickets are also substantially cheaper if booked at least a few weeks in advance.
