Glow Crazy

Glow Crazy held at the one and only Kasbah is a night of neon clothing, glow sticks and UV face paint. With a pre bar before hand and free entry into Kasbah, it was the first event of the current MedSoc and went down a storm! 100 medics in UV outfits would create a stir though!

Pub Quiz

The Pub Quiz at the end of Semester 2 is a popular event with all years. A pub in Leamington was packed out for the quiz with a difference. Rounds included drawing a staff portrait, a cracker eating race and a cryptic clue round. To top off the night for those who wanted it was a night at a Leamington nightclub, Evolve.

The Summer Ball

How better to finish off the year than with the Summer Ball. A night of suits and posh frocks, a sit down meal and lots of entertainments. There were giant games, photographers, a pianist and a DJ to make the Summer Ball a night to remember. A wonderful way to celebrate the end of the first year of Medical School.

Sports Day – September

Organised by our lovely sports sec this is set to be a day full of old fashioned primary school sports day fun with three-legged races and a bouncy castle. Ed will be providing the full details but rest assured it should be a grand day followed by a big night out!

Pub quiz – October

A follow up to our highly successful pub quiz last semester this will be a quiz with a difference mark II and a great opportunity to mingle with students from all years, of course cheating will not be tolerated (well only if we spot you).

Enigma – October

One of the highlights of the MedSoc social calendar join us for a night of spooky Halloween mystery fun. Buy a t-shirt, jump on the coach and head to our mystery destination for a massive night out in the pubs and clubs of somewhere that isn’t Cov or Leam! Guess the destination in our charity competition and you might just be in for a treat (or maybe a trick)!!

Fireworks – November

For a more relaxed night out come along to Kenilworth Fireworks display, the biggest and best fireworks display in the region all set in the dramatic backdrop of Kenilworth Castle. Again it’s a big charity event so come along and support the charities of Kenilworth!

I Heart Mick Day - November

Our inaugural major charity event as a MedSoc, we are having a day in honour of our very own Mick Padfield (don’t worry you will all come to understand the legend that is Mick very quickly) Receptionist extraordinaire of the med school. We’ve got lots of mini events planned throughout the day all culminating in a well-earned trip to the pub and a club! All money raised in the day will go to charities of Mick’s choice

Pub Golf - November

Second round of Pub Golf of the year but this time it will be contested by the rest of the med school as well so make sure you book your place at the tee! We’re sure you all know the scorecard but basically done your best plaid and argyle jumpers, long socks and flat caps and met us on the greens of Leamington’s (or maybe Coventry’s) favourite pubs!

MedSoc’s Christmas Extravaganza - December

What we hope will be the Christmas party to end all Christmas parties. We’ll provide the buffet, DJ and dark corners and you provide the tinsel accessorised cocktail dresses and undone bow ties! Finish off your first term at WMS in style and welcome in your newly elected MedSoc committee!
