The medics hockey team at Warwick are a friendly bunch of guys and girls, with a shared passion for desperately clinging onto the days of an undergraduate degree!
Meeting on a regular basis under the premise of playing hockey, we hold regular social events, take part in various fantastic weekend tournaments and play in regular NAMS league games. All the while, we focus heavily on having a good time and welcoming newcomers of any ability!
We pride ourselves on offering something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a regular activity to help improve your fitness (whilst playing an immensely fun sport!), or a good way to meet other people on the course, medics hockey is the way to do it without having to make too much of a commitment. We look forward to seeing you in September!
Training: Mondays 8:30-10:00pm @ Westwood
Matches: NAMS League, Sundays
WMS Netball is looking forward to the newbies of Warwick joining the team. We welcome players of all standards, and practice once a week.
Members have the choice to play at least two games in a local league and a competitive inter-med-school league in which we reached the finals last year.
With regular socials it’s a perfect way to meet people from all years and remain fit whilst pigging out during your exams. Come join us ‘cos we’re nice. One love.
Warwick Medics CC triumphed in the 2008 NAMS T20 tournament (the first and so far only Warwick team to win a NAMS tournament). After the victory we had the honour of hosting the 2009 NAMS tournament. Sadly we were unable to retain the cup, losing to Nottingham in a close final. We look forward to returning to Nottingham to try and win it back.
We also play a number of midweek T20 games and longer weekend games against a variety of sides. We have indoor nets during the winter and outdoor practise in the summer. We are always looking for new players.
