Welcome to STEP@Warwick
STEP is a society focused on specialities such as pre-hospital care, trauma and emergency medicine. We hope that via STEP you will be able to access experiences and learning opportunities relevant to such speciality areas. This site will keep you up to date on all our activities and plans for the future, keep you aware of recent events and news in the world of emergency & pre-hospital care and link you to the work of our Key Partner the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

STEP@Warwick now has an active group page on Facebook. Join the group to keep updated with our latest events.
STEP@Warwick is pleased to announce that we have now become partnered up with STEP at Coventry Uni
. This partnership will help us to arrange larger events relevant to several pre-hospital professions and to integrate our learning. We look forward to working closely with the Coventry team on pre-hospital training and also on fundraising projects. We are pleased to host CUSTEP on our website to encourage our partnership.
STEP@Warwick objectives:
- To promote the education of medical students on topics relevant to Pre-Hospital Trauma & Emergency Medicine with a focus on clinical skills
- To facilitate experiences for students in the pre-hospital environment
- To encourage medical student and university wide participation in WNAA fundraising events as well as raising awareness of the air ambulance
- To build on local and regional STEP partnerships so as to improve the opportunities available to WMS students in an inter-professional environment
STEP will therefore allow you to access this speciality area at an early stage in your training so that you can develop your skills as well as help you to make future career choices. We hope to do this in an innovative and engaging way, rather than the delivery of academic style lectures.
Recent Activities
- STEP@Warwick is working alongside the STEP society at Coventry University to produce experience sessions that cover the practical aspects of pre-hospital care, allow for participation in expert training and also to enhance the inter-professional relationship between all health care professionals involved in pre-hospital environments.
- STEP@Warwick continue to hold a successful online book sale to raise essential funds for WNAA. We appreciate all donations of good quality textbooks that can be used to raise cash for more air ambulance missions. So far over £300 has been raised.
STEP@Warwick in the Future
The STEP Team are keen to hear any ideas that can help the society do more for the students and improve our fundraising efforts, so if you would like to get involved or have suggestions you would like to submit then please email us at stepcommittee@live.co.uk
STEP@Warwick is also affiliated to the National Advisory Group, STEPUK
. We hope to work with this organisation and other STEPUK affiliated groups to promote awareness of pre-hospital care and improve education.
