    Mental Health

Doctors often lead large healthcare teams incorporating a wide range of medical and healthcare expertise. This can call for a higher level of management and leadership skills than required for everyday clinical work.

In 2008, the NHS launched the Medical Leadership Competency Framework, outlining key competencies that doctors require to allow them to actively involve themselves in the development of healthcare provision within the NHS.
