Industrial Contract Research

[c]

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Warwick is based on research excellence. We have a wide portfolio of expertise - please see our research pages for detailed information. Our strengths cross the span of organisational levels:

We are keen to continue and develop our industrial partnerships with a view to furthering our aims: the creation and dissemination of knowledge. Projects will have a member of academic staff who acts as lead contact. We offer a stream-lined administration service (with a dedicated projects manager) to speed the contract process after you have agreed the programme of work with the lead  member of academic staff.

We are required to cover the costs of our research. The price of projects is calculated on the basis of costs and additional issues such as ownership of intellectual property.

For general enquiries, please use the contact below. You are welcome to contact individual members of staff (use the links on the research pages).

Intercalated Year Event

Our students are one of our key assets. The Department runs a annual Post-Graduate Symposium at which all our research students present their work to the Department. We also have 11 undergraduate students taking inter-calated year degrees during which they spend one year working in industry. Last year we successfully introduced an event to which we invited our external collaborators (AstraZenica, HPA, NIBSC, VLA etc) to view the research being conducted within the Department and the quality of our students. If you are interested in attracting the best undergraduates, or in assessing the research within the Department, then please register your interest. The event will take place on the afternoon 21st May 2009, including lunch.
