Graduate study at the Department of Biological Sciences is exciting and intellectually challenging.  Students benefit from close working relationships with more than 250 basic science faculty who are engaged in an extraordinary array of research and clinical activities.  Recent major funding has resulted in strategically important research and teaching centres offering innovative environments for cross-disciplinary research and training.  Biological processes are studied in an integrated way to provide a genuine understanding of biology, health, disease and medicine.
