Case for Support - Chemistry
Supporting Chemistry
You may have experienced the benefits of a Warwick Chemistry degree. You may be a supporter of science, of undergraduate achievement, or you may simply want to donate time, effort, money or other resources to work that directly solves global problems in key areas like medicine, technology, food supply, energy supply and the problems of an increasingly ageing population.
You may want to help give opportunities and resources to people traditionally denied them, or you may simply want to make sure that the institution that gave you your degree continues to be recognised as one of the best in the world.
Whatever your motivation, you can be sure that your contribution of time, effort, money or other resources will directly contribute to our mission to provide the highest quality teaching, conduct the best research in the world, and to continue to solve global issues in an environment that provides the best, safest and most up to date facilities possible for our undergraduates and researchers to work in.
Why is this critical?
Simply, we want to make sure that people who wouldn't ordinarily have the opportunity to come to Warwick to be able to, and those who are already here to benefit as much as they can from our Department.
Running a high profile, successful Department like Warwick requires equipment, labs, chemicals and highly qualified staff. We need a committed undergraduate base, drawn from the best available science students in the world, a postgraduate research team giving opportunities to the best graduates in the world, and we need to attract the best academics in the world to work here and collaborate with us.
This is ambitious, and we are succeeding, but we always want to provide more opportunities than we are able to. Some who would like to come here and have the academic ability to are denied the opportunity and we want to be able to help.
You can help us to by providing valuable expertise based on your experiences since Warwick, and by giving support and guidance. Of course we welcome direct investment into our missions financially, and by the offer of services and equipment if you are able.
Why Invest?
Investing in us now will bring value to you and your future beyond your individual contribution. It can take the form of an emotional reward for helping an individual achieve something they didn't think possible, the satisfaction of knowing that your donation will be used to help achieve a global mission, or something more deeper and long term.
You can also use Alumni events to be in contact with some of the brightest and best qualified science graduates in the world, and our regular givers are rewarded with access to those consulting networks that accompany some of our key events. You may simply want to ensure the long-term future of the institution who gave you the experience and knowledge that has allowed you to start your adult life.
Involvement with Alumni at Warwick Chemistry will bring you into contact with people who have been successful in many different career and life paths, whether as friends or as business contacts. This can reward you in ways you didn't think possible - new opportunities, new ideas, new friends.
Your contribution, of time, money or expertise will support us to keep competing, growing our science and producing research that is world-renowned. As a final benefit, whatever you do to help Warwick Chemistry reflects in the quality of your qualification. Lets keep Warwick at the top and reward what Warwick does.
