Alumni Contacts, Friends and Networking Events
As an Alumnus or friend of Warwick Chemistry you have access to one of the fastest growing and highest quality science departments in the country, and the people who have studied or worked there and gone on to develop their careers. You will be able to expand a network of contacts who work in many different industries around the world, and you'll be able to keep up to date with work in one of the world's best Chemistry Departments.
Our Alumni networks on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn give you access to people from recent alumni and current graduates, to people at decision-making levels in major companies and organisations worldwide.
We want to make access to our facilities, teaching and research available to everyone who has the will and ability to come here. Please look at our case for support and consider if you can give some advocacy, time, money or other resources in return.
We regularly organise Chemistry Alumni Events, visits to the Department, have lecture series and welcome pre-arranged ad-hoc visits, but all Warwick Alumni are welcome at our open days, guest lectures and to use our department resources by agreement. Where do people go?
Many of our graduates work in Research or teaching, but many go on to work in Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, and Government, the Armed Forces, Finance, Management.. the list goes on.. We supply many industries where objective thinking, advanced numeracy, excellent time management (remember those contact hours!) and an analytical mind sets them above their peers. Some go on to give valuable time to charities, the community or in science communication. Where did you go? - update us! Get in touch!
Some go on to persue hobbies they started here, one of our postgraduate students for example has just won a Radio Presenting Award and will present a Radio 1 show as a result.
The work we do at Department Level complements that of the Development and Alumni Relations Team who co-ordinate giving at the institutional level.
