Dr Daniel Lester

Dan is from the hedonistic capital of the UK (Brighton) where he lived for 26 years. During this period he found time to attend Sussex Uni and obtain a First Class (Hons) in Chemistry with Business Management followed by a DPhil in physical inorganic chemistry (Creation of a Semi-Conductor Material for the Removal of Volatile Organic Compounds from Biogas).

After a small hiatus he returned to academia as a technician and then manager of the Polymer Research Technology Platform at The University of Warwick, specialising in the characterisation of polymeric materials on behalf of internal and external researchers.

Our techniques include GPC/SEC/BioSEC, thermal analysis (DSC, TGA, DMA) and particle sizing. For a full list of services please contact Dan.

The services of both Dan and his instruments are available on request, please see Warwick Scientific Services and Polymer Research Technology Platform

Dan is also part of the team that runs The Polymer Club, the next event is on Tuesday 19th November 2019. For more information / to sign up to attend please visit https://warwick.ac.uk/research/rtp/polymerclub/.
