Biography I am currently a Research Fellow working on an exciting new venture between Warwick University and Element Six led by Dr. Mark Newton (EPR and Diamond Research Group, Physics) and Prof. Julie Macpherson to examine and develop boron doped diamond electrochemical sensors in complex real world applications. The overall goal of the project is to establish the scientific knowledge that underpins the applications as well as to design and demonstrate prototype devices. My scientific interests lie on transferring my knowledge and expertise of electrochemical sensing to develop commercially viable devices for the bioanalytical and environmental industry including application of new electrode materials like boron doped diamond in complex and highly challenging environments for sample determination and analysis using various electrochemical techniques. Previously I've taken on a three year RA position at Imperial College London sponsored by venture capital to develop novel electrochemical techniques for medical applications followed by a year long position based at Warwick University and sponsored by the BP Exploration Research Grant for the development of new methods for polymer detection.
