Background and Purpose

This is the annual meeting of the UK Alexander von Humboldt Association. The theme this year will be "Energy", which we hope is interesting to a large number of participants, as it is both timely and topical. Two eminent speakers on the subject will give us the answers to several pressing questions and, perhaps, let us find many new questions on energy and its uses during the day.
