NanoDay06
Friday, February 10th 2006Warwick-internal NanoMaterials meeting "NanoDay06"11:00-14:00 in PS128Organiser: R.A. Roemer (Physics, Warwick)[Sponsored partially by funds from the Physics Department]Background and PurposeThe outcome of the meeting should be to see whether we can identify a common theme that we could usefully suggest to EPSRC as something worthwhile to fund at Warwick. We should prepare a two-page outline of this program after the meeting to be sent to ESPRC. Please indicate to me whether you would be interested in helping me draft this. ApplicationIf you wish to participate, please submit the application form at this link by February 8th, 2006. ProgrammeThe symposium will bring together Warwick scientists interested in Nanomaterials research. The lecturers in the following list are confirmed, their time slots are not.
Organisation, ResourcesEach of us should give an 8 minute presentation and then allows for 2 minutes of discussion. In that way we can have 6 talks for an hour. Please do not use more then 8-10 slides for your talk. In your talk, please try to detail
here at Warwick. Please also prepare handouts to be distributed to the participants of not more than 2 pages of write-up. Relevant copies of your slides will do nicely! The physics department will pay for a sandwich lunch and depending on how many speakers we have, we might break the talk sequence for a short pause. Confirmed ParticipantsData should be correct up to 09 Feb 2005, 15:00 BST. This is all the data we hold, so if things appear wrong, contact the organizers at physics-funding-nanomaterials
