Visitor Access to CSC Computing Facilities

Visitors to CSC are very welcome to use the available computing facilities. Please arrange visitor accounts in advance since CSC is unfortunately unable to expedite access where accounts have not been obtained in time. We also ask University members not to share their own accounts since this contravenes University IT Policy.

Short-term visitors

ITS issue visitor accounts to University members which can then be used by short term visitors. These visitor accounts can be registered for use in CSC with the host University member assuming responsibility for the visitor's use of the facilities. Proceed as follows:

  • Download the visitor account application form in MS Word or PDF format.
  • Complete the form and either email it to helpdesk@warwick.ac.uk (ITS Helpdesk) or take it in person to the ITS Helpdesk Drop-in Centre located in the library. Please do not send the form to CSC.
  • ITS will process the application, usually within 24 hours, and issue the visitor account to the host University member.
  • Register the visitor account for use in CSC using the usual account application procedure.

Long-term visitors

Long-term visitors should register with the University and obtain a standard ITS account. This should be arranged by the host University member through their home department. The ITS account can then be registered for use in CSC using the usual account application procedure.
