In practice the following types of financial assistance are available for MSc/PhD and PhD candidates in Mathematics/Interdisciplinary Mathematics. Note that the demand for financial support is high and therefore very competitive.

Following the recent consultation into Postgraduate funding, the government have announced their intention to offer loans to students commencing Postgraduate Masters study in the 2016/17 academic year.
