Warwick University has a lot to answer for - I came here from Ireland to study for 3 years, and ended up married to a fellow graduate and settled in the area! I studied the 3 year BSc. (Hons.) Computer & Management Science degree during my university time; a course I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend without hesitation! This course allowed a detailed understanding to be obtained between the two subject areas, and more importantly an overview of the bridges between them.

The first 2 years was spent with the Department of Computer Science, studying a variety of modules giving a grounding in theoretical computing; both hardware and software; together with modules on the application of computing. In the final year I transferred to Warwick Business School, studying a variety of modules covering the business sphere, from Accountancy to Marketing.

Being allowed to study in two departments that are world class in their relative academic spheres was a unique opportunity. I wanted to continue studying in this specialist area, leading to a Masters in e-Business Management at Warwick University after graduation.

Coming from a university with a reputation like Warwick, from departments with the standing of the Department of Computer Science and Warwick Business School, helps you to be noticed by world class employers.

I now work in Technology Advisory and Assurance with Deloitte. The work I do is tremendously varied, from technical security improvement and in-depth data analysis, through to project risk management and risk governance; and is tremendously enjoyable. The skills and understanding I learnt throughout my degree have proven to be a valuable asset in my career.

I would personally recommend Warwick University to any potential applicants, and especially recommend Computer & Management Science course to anyone with an interest in this specialist area.
