What is MiMIC?

MiMIC is a research group dedicated to  the application of machine learning, image analysis and pattern recognition methods to medical information and medical imaging. These pages introduces the group members and describes a selection of past and current activities which range from prognostic modelling from medical data, image based retrieval systems for breast cancer screening, retinal image analysis and histological image analysis.

The group members currently have active collaborations with clinicians here and abroad: the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire; The John Radcliffe Oxford; Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston; Yale University Hospital, New Haven and The Neuropathological Institute, Bielefeld, Germany. We also work with academic colleagues in the Departments of Mathematics, Psychology and Statistics on a number of projects.
