    Research Themes

This group has a wide range of interests in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics including:

    • flow over compliant panels including rotating flows
    • industrial computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
    • flows in wakes of bluff bodies
    • drag reduction thorugh use of passive surfaces
    • flow instability experiments and modelling
    • development of CFD algorithms
    • use of parallel computer architectures
    • fluid structure interaction
    • biomechanics
    • application of dynamical systems theories to transition
    • adsorption refrigeration
    • solar refrigeration
    • heat exchanger design and analysis including CFD
    • Taylor vortex flow
    • stochastic resonance
    • fundamental experimental fluid dynamics
    • rotating flows

    Activities

Seminars - these are held during termtime at Warwick, usually on a Wednesday afternoon at 4pm in the School of Engineering, Room A206a.
