Candidates for a Pass degree are required to take a total load of 105 CATS credits consisting of the core modules excluding ES372 Automation and Robotics.

    Accreditation

Please note that the BEng Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering degree is accredited by the IMechE and IET where students gain an honours classification of II-2 or above and pass a project such as ES3B1 or ES327. Accreditation at BEng level recognises that only part of the academic requirements for CEng status will be met and therefore graduates will be required to undertake further learning. Advice on what constitutes further learning is available from each institution.

In addition to the above guidance, the InstMC require candidates to take the core module ES372 Automation and Robotics and the additional unusual option ES3C1 Measurement and Instrumentation.
