A Survey of the use of CAD and VR in the Civil and Architectural industries, and the inhibitors of change.

I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank you for taking the time out to complete my survey. Primarily, the survey is due to run from mid November until late January and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Currently, from a broad perspective, AutoCAD/AutoDesk is thought to be the de facto computer aided design software package within the civil and architectural industries. What my project hopes to investigate is whether this is actually the case, and if so why? I will also be investigating the inhibitors that prevent the adoption of different CAD software packages.

This survey is being conducted for my 3rd year project with the above title, in the development of my Undergraduate studies at the University of Warwick. The information reported from this survey will not be attributed to individuals without their express permission. The data provided will ONLY be used for the educational purposes stated above and all personal data will be destroyed following the completion of the project in May 2006. Any personal data provided will be used solely for this purpose, or to allow me to contact the relevant person for further information or notify them that they are the lucky winner of the prize.
