Do you enjoy solving problems? Then engineering could be for you!
Join us for a careers evening in our International Manufacturing Centre and find out why studying engineering at university is a great career choice. Everyone is welcome, but you must come with a parent or teacher. The event is aimed at years 9 and 10, however, other years can also attend.
- Meet undergraduate engineering students

- Talk to the students about different types of engineering (we have courses for Automotive, Civil, Electronic, General, Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering)
- Talk the students about their studies and what life is like at university
- Find out what GCSE and A level subjects are useful
- Meet the Institution of Engineering and Technology to discuss careers for professional engineers
- See student projects, including the electric go-kart, robots and more...
There will be a student talk 6.10pm, repeated at 7.10pm. Please complete the sign-up form to book a place.
Time table
- 5.30pm to 8.30pm - call in anytime to our engineering hall to visit our students hosting a range of stands talking about project work and societies and stay as long as you like
- 6.10pm - Hear the students talk about life as an engineering student (max. capacity of 70)
- 7.10pm - Hear the students talk about life as an engineering student (max. capacity of 200)
