The companies below are all spin-outs from Warwick School of Engineering research.

Anvil Semiconductors Ltd

Anvil Semiconductors was established in August 2010 as a spin-out from the School of Engineering of the University of Warwick to exploit patented developments (6 patents) in Silicon Carbide (SiC) Power Semiconductor technology. The founders, Prof. Phil Mawby and Dr. Peter Ward enjoy global recognition for their expertise in the fields of Power Devices, their modelling and applications (Mawby); and industrial R&D and manufacturing (Ward). They have published widely on these topics, and have excellent contacts with industry and other leading research institutions around the world.

Warwick Audio Technologies Ltd

Warwick Audio is a UK-based technology company specialising in the development of flat and flexible loudspeaker (FFL) solutions for Original Equipment Manufacturers. The technology is applicable to audio applications in multiple fields and is designed for customers developing and manufacturing audio products for public or personal listening. The technology was developed by Dr. Duncan Billson and Prof. David Hutchins following successful research at the University of Warwick, School of Engineering. Warwick Audio Technologies was a spin-out company from the University and was first founded in 2001.

Cambridge CMOS

Cambridge CMOS Sensors (CCS) is the provider of innovative MEMS high temperature microhotplate technology for gas sensing, flow sensing and lab-on-a- chip applications. Technology uses standard CMOS process that enables high volume, low cost and low power sensor-on-a-chip solutions. Cambridge CMOS Sensors Ltd is a spin-out from University of Cambridge and exploiting innovative patented technology jointly developed in collaboration with the University of Warwick, in the area of CMOS micro-systems.

Recycling Technologies

Recycling Technologies designs and manufactures machines that can recycle mixed plastic waste. Using an advanced Fluidised Bed Reactor, the WarwickFBRTM, Mixed Plastic Waste [MPW] can be either returned to the chemical building blocks from which they were originally formed or into energy. Recycling Technologies has been formed to commercialise the development of the plastic recycling technique developed originally by the University of Warwick.

Sorption Energy Ltd

Sorption Energy is based in the UK and is working to reduce fuel bills through adsorption technology. Sorption Energy is developing gas-fired heat pumps which give fuel savings of at least 30% compared to the best condensing boilers on the market today. The inventions behind Sorption Energy's gas-fired heat pumps come from Professor Critoph and his team at University of Warwick School of Engineering who have been developing adsorption heat pump technology for over 20 years.
