RESEARCH PROFILEKatharina is an ecologist with a particular interest in biological invasions. Research focuses on understanding biological as well a non-biologcial reasons for the success and management of invasive plants. She has also worked in a Rural Economy and Land Use project analysing the impacts, spread and management of plant diseases. Currently she works in the weed ecology group in a project studying the life history variation of agricultural weeds and the potential impact of climate change. She is also involved in a project in Spain on stakeholder involvement and mangement of invasive plants in Galicia. |
BACKGROUNDKatharina studied Biology at the Universities of Bayreuth and Bonn and obtained a PhD in plant ecology from the Technical University of Berlin. Before joining the University of Warwick in 2007 she worked at the University of York. |
