Open Days - Mathematics Undergraduate Admissions
Open Days
There are 2 kinds of open days: Mathematics Department open days and University open days. Students receiving an offer for a Mathematics Department degree course will be invited to a Department Open Day in February or March.
The University open days are for students considering applying to Warwick. They can join a Campus tour and look round the departments that interest them. The Mathematics Department lays on an informative programme throughout the day.
Mathematics Department Open Days
A visit to the Mathematics Institute will give you a good idea of the atmosphere of the University and the style of the mathematics we teach. Our open days are completely informal and there are no interviews. Their purpose is to give you an opportunity to meet members of staff, to ask questions about courses and campus life, and to talk to students who are already here.
If you receive an offer for one of the five degree courses offered by the Mathematics Department at Warwick, you will be invited to a departmental open day in February or March.
The programme of events includes experimental maths demonstrations and presentations by 4th-year undergraduates on their "maths-in-action" degree work. Applicants and their companions are invited to the main talk on Mathematics at Warwick and everyone is strongly encouraged to join one of the campus tours led by maths undergraduates.
If you have been invited to a department open day and have queries, please contact the Open Day Secretary on 024 7657 3841, email j dot roche at warwick dot ac dot uk.
University of Warwick Open Days
University Open Days are held twice a year, one in the spring and one in the autumn. Online booking will open approximately four weeks before the event.
These University Open Days are designed for students starting to think about which degree courses interest them and where to apply. The Mathematics Department holds 'open house' on these days when you can meet members of staff and attend a talk about studying mathematics at Warwick. University open days get booked up early; for more information go to University Open Days.
Less recommended: Independent Visits
See the main university page here for other opportunities to visit that the University may arrange including Campus Tours and Campus Interactive, but, although our building is open during office hours, Mathematics staff are not available to meet visitors.
