Neil O'Connell has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant for a project entitled “Integrable Random Structures".

The project will build upon the recent discovery and development of integrable models in probability which bring together different areas of mathematics, especially representation theory, integrable systems and statistical physics.

It will further develop some of the combinatorial ideas which have been introduced in this setting with a view to wider application, explore the nature of stochastic integrability more generally, and study in detail some of the natural scaling limits of these models.
