June 2017 András Máthé awarded Whitehead Prize
András Máthé has been awarded the prestigious Whitehead prize by the LMS for his original insights into deep problems from geometric measure theory, combinatorics and real analysis.
The Whitehead Prize is awarded yearly by the LMS to mathematicians working in the United Kingdom who are at an early stage of their career. It is named in memory of homotopy theory pioneer J. H. C. Whitehead.
