Teaching:

(Term 1) MA424 Dynamical Systems and MA3H5 Manifolds. Questions and comments via email are encouraged!

PhD: Oct 2013-current. Supervisor: Professor Richard Sharp.

Research interests:

Interactions between Dynamics and Ergodic Theory, Group Theory and Geometry. More specifically, the thermodynamic formalism for subshifts of finite type, with a view to the geometry of negatively curved manifolds. In my PhD I have studied the relationship between geometrical/dynamical data of regular covering manifolds, the spectrum of group extended transfer operators, and Kazhdan distances for representations.

Publications:

Amenability, critical exponents for subgroups and growth of closed geodesics, Mathematische Annalen, 2016, 19 pages, (with R. Sharp). Here (open access)
