    Napton Windmill, Warwickshire

    Napton windmill is on the edge of Napton on the Hill in Warwickshire (OS Grid Reference SP458613 - see map by Streetmap.co.uk), by a bend in the Oxford Canal - just a little south from Napton Junction where the Grand Union Canal joins it.

    This windmill is not open to the public but you can follow nearby footpaths and take photos over the gate or hedge.

    There is quite a steep drop on the north side of the hill, behind the windmill:

    Above is a nice blue barge with painted roses by Calcutt Locks on the Grand Union Canal. Below is another barge on the Oxford Canal, going under bridge 111:
