Dr. D. Seghier joined the group of Surface and Interface Science , as an academic visitor from the University of Iceland, Iceland, in April 2012. His research focuses in general on the characterization of defects in semiconductors. In the past few years he has been involved in the investigation of dilute magnetic semiconductors doped with magnetic ions and their potential use in spintronic applications.

Dr. Huanyong LI joined the group of superconductor ＆ Magnetism, as an academic visitor from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, in Nov. 2011. His present research in focuses on the growth of selenide/tellurides single crystals and the preparation of some typical (Half-)Heusler compound or alloys. His previous research is on II-VI group semiconductor, the rare earth metal sulfide ceramics, the nano-functional-materials and their special properties.
