Fabian Essler (Oxford), Full counting statistics in interacting many-particle systems
Motivated by cold-atom experiments I consider the problem of determining the probability distributions of sub-system observables one dimensional quantum spin chains and field theories. I focus on the non-equilibrium dynamics of these quantities and show that they give useful insights into the melting of long and short-range order.
