How do our bodies remember to breathe even when we're asleep? What would happen if it forgot? That is the reality for those suffering from Ondine's curse. Can you imagine having sleep apnoea and waking up a hundred times in one night? Neuroscientists at Warwick University have recently found how the brain detects carbon dioxide, an understanding set to revolutionise our understanding of breathing. Come and hear Kevin Moffat as he demonstrates the mechanisms of how your brain keeps you alive while you are asleep.
