Welcome to the EPSRC NetworkPlus Pages.

The University of Warwick has been awarded funding to coordinate an EPSRC NetworkPlus addressing one of Physics Grand Challenges: Emergence and Physics Far From Equilibrium. To find out more about the network or become a member to the Network please visit our about the Network page.

Latest Network News:

  • NetworkPlus at XXXV Dynamics Days Europe 2015, University of Exeter 07 Sep, 2015: NetworkPlus is co-sponsoring minisymposium MS04 titled Astrophysical and laboratory plasmas as testbeds for fundamental multiscale nonlinear processes. For details see: minisymposia schedule
  • NetworkPlus has co-sponsored the event organised by the IOP Biological Physics Group "Physics of Emergent Behaviour II – From molecules to planets" on 9 – 10 July 2015 at Science Museum, London
For details of the meeting visit: http://peb2015.iopconfs.org
  • ICAM IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR POSTDOCTORAL AND SENIOR FACULTY FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2015-2016 ACADEMIC YEAR (JULY 1, 2015 – JUNE 30, 2016). The Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter (ICAM) invites applications for postdoctoral and senior faculty fellow appointments tenable at ICAM branch member institutions for the academic year 2015-2016 (July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016). These awards are intended to catalyze research and research collaborations on complex adaptive matter, by supplementing existing postdoctoral appointments or sabbatical leave support. Successful applicants are expected to carry out a research program at ICAM institutions and to participate actively in educational outreach. ICAM anticipates at least 3 postdoctoral fellows and 1 senior faculty fellow will be awarded in the fields of quantum matter, living matter, soft matter (including chemical and biochemical matter), or emergent materials for renewable energy sources.
  • ICAM will be considering proposals for workshops from the time frame January 1, 2015 – August 30, 2015 at the SSC meeting on November 5th, 2014. The deadline for proposals is October 15th, 2014, with all applications to be made via the application page at http://icam-i2cam.org/index.php/events/application
  • A formal association with the Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter (ICAM) has now been finalised for a period of March 2014-March 2016. The name of our node is UK NESFE (Network on Emergence and System Far from Equilibrium). All Network members should register with ICAM by following "Register" link on the main ICAM web page (top left corner).
  • Publication of NetworkPlus outreach article in International Innovation journal. "International Innovation published by Research Media is the leading global dissemination resource for the wider scientific, technology and research communities, dedicated to disseminating the latest science, research and technological innovations on a global level. More information and a complimentary subscription offer to the publication can be found at: www.researchmedia.eu."
