High Resolution Imaging

Even though this is not a dedicated high resolution microsope it should be possible to obtain good high-resolution (HREM) images.

The comparison below shows simulated HREM images of Silicon [110] under ideal conditions for the 2100 LaB6 and the 2000FX.

As well as higher resolution (you can resolve the pair of closely-spaced Si atoms) there will be more contrast. This makes it much easier to set up the microscope for HREM imaging.
