Dr Christopher Pollard

Research Interests

I am a member of the Experimental Particle Physics group working on LHC physics with the ATLAS detector. My current research focuses on measurements and searches for new physics involving the Higgs boson, top quark, bottom quark, and tau lepton. As these are complex signatures with often large background processes, I'm particularly involved in real-time identification of b-jets (including in the ATLAS trigger system) and in the development of new statistical and analytic methods for extracting information from LHC collisions.
