    Oksana Trushkevych

Oksana joins the department as a Research Fellow in the Ultrasonics Group. She will be looking into ultrasonic measurements of single crystals at low temperatures.

    Previous Research

Her previous research was on Raman spectroscopy (especially UV Raman spectroscopy) of amorphous and diamond-like carbons, Graphene and various nanomaterials and nanostructures as well as on optical Raman Tweezing while working with the Nanomaterials and Spectroscopy Group at Cambridge.

She also focused on the Photonics as well as on microwave and THz properties of Liquid Crystal based materials and nanocomposite materials, and their device applications withing the Photonics and Sensors Group .

Oksana obtained her PhD from Cambridge University, working in the Photonics and Sensors Group in the Engineering Department and St. John's College . She worked on the Photonics of Chromophore-doped Nematic Liquid Crystals.
