Sibling bullying and abuse: a phenomenological approach.

Emmy will speak about her very personal existential investigation of sibling bullying and abuse. She will draw on research she was involved with at the Centre for the Study of Conflict and Reconciliation at the University of Sheffield and at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling with Middlesex University. She will additionally draw on her 45 years of therapeutic work and will give a heuristic account of her first-hand experience of the phenomenon, to describe the subjective experience of sibling bullying and abuse. Some conclusions will be drawn about the implications for psychology and psychotherapeutic work.

Host: Professor Dieter Wolke

Refreshments in Common Room at 3.30pm
