Course Regulations for the 2016/17 Academic Year

With effect from the 2016/17 academic year, each Academic Department is responsible for maintaining the definitive version of the Course Regulations on their own website. By definition, the Course Regulations must provide the following information:

  • A list of Core and Optional modules by year of study
  • The required volume of credits at each level of study

  • The relative credit weighting across the years of study for the final degree classification

This information is already available, and regularly updated and maintained, in the online Course Handbooks:

  • A list of Core and Optional modules by year of study can be found in Section 2 of the online Course Handbook for your degree course.
  • The required volume of credits at each level of study can be found in Section 2 of the online Course Handbook for your degree course.
  • The relative credit weighting across the years of study for the final degree classification can be found in Section 5 of the online Course Handbook for your degree course, under the section describing the Calculation of Examination Credits.

Please note that the pre-printed versions of the 2016/17 Course Handbooks are produced prior to the commencement of the academic year, and therefore cannot be updated to reflect changes to the regulations. Therefore, only the online version of the Course Handbooks can be considered to be the definitive version of the Course Regulations.
