There are excellent employment opportunities for statisticians in many areas of commerce and industry, accountancy and finance, teaching and research, computing and information technology. In particular, there is continuing high demand for the special skills of graduates who are strong in mathematics and have a sound understanding of statistical methods. The Mathematics and Statistics degrees provide a thorough grounding in both theoretical and practical aspects of modern statistics. These are well-established Integrated Single Honours courses, leading to an extremely wide variety of careers. Two programmes are available:
