Graphical Models and Genetic Applications 15-17 April 2009

The workshop will host presentations on the subject of causal graphs and graph learning from pedigrees, state of the art in statistical genetics and Bayesian networks together with specific applications and novel related issues. We plan to draw together researchers in these different fields and anticipate some interesting symbiosis!

Confirmed speakers are:

Steffen Lauritzen
Jotun Hein
Dan Geiger
Vanessa Didelez
Thore Egeland
Thomas Richardson
Robert Cowell
James Cussens
Oivind Skare
Sarah Geneletti
David Wild
Robert Puch-Solis
Simon Heath
Lorenz Wernisch

We also aim to provide some funding for PhD students and young researchers, who will have an excellent opportunity to interact with the invited participants. We expect that many young statisticians will benefit from the meeting. All participants are invited to submit a poster on the theme of the workshop which will be refereed in early March.

The meeting organisers are:

Jim Smith (J.Q.Smith@warwick.ac.uk)
Nuala Sheehan (nas11@le.ac.uk)
