How to get here

Here is some information about how to reach Warwick campus.

Recall that Monday 29th of August is a bank holiday, hence trains might be less frequent than in normal working days. We advise to plan your trip in advance in order to avoid delays.

From Birmingham Airport:

The nearest airport is Birmingham Airport (about 17 km from campus).

From the airport there is a free shuttle to the train station Birmingham International, from which you can take a train to Coventry station. Depending on which train you catch, the trip between Birmingham International and Coventry will take around 10 or 20 minutes.
The train schedule and prices can be found at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/.

A taxi from Coventry station to the campus will cost something around 10-15 pounds.

There are also buses, but you need to have the exact money for a ride, because the drivers do not give change.
(One ticket costs 2.10 pounds at the moment. Should there be any update in the next few months, it will be recorded here.)
Any of the following bus lines would take you here: 12X which is the express service, 11 and 11U, all departing from stop SB: once you exit Coventry station it will be a few meters on your left. Once on the bus, you can get off at the last stop, in the main terminal. The department is only a few minutes walk from there.

The workshop will take place in the Statistics department, room MS.04: on the second floor of the Zeeman building, which is in the square of coordinate I-6 of this map:

Note the main bus terminal (bus interchange) in the square E-4.

From London:

The largest airport in London is London Heathrow: http://www.heathrow.com/.
From there are several possibilities to reach Warwick campus, and the simplest are:

  1. From Heathrow take a bus to Reading (it will take about one hour, tickets can be bought at http://www.railair.com/). From Reading you can catch a (direct) train to Coventry station.
  2. From Heathrow take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington (about 16 minutes), then a bus to London Euston rail station (about 27 minutes) and from there you can catch a direct train to Coventry station.
  3. From Heathrow take the Underground (Piccadilly Line) until Green Park Underground Station (about 45 minutes). From there take the Victoria Line until London Euston railway station (about 5 minutes) from which you can catch a train to Coventry station.

Should you need more detailed information you can find it at: http://www.heathrow.com/transport-and-directions.
To plan your journey you can use the following website: https://tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/.

Once you are at Coventry station you can proceed as described above.
