GlaxoSmithKline-Neurophysics: Pharmacological MRI

On 23 & 24 January 2012 the Warwick Department of Statistics hosted the "GlaxoSmithKline - Neurophysics Workshop on Pharmacological MRI", an activity coordinated with the Neurophysics Marie Curie Initial Training Network of which GSK is a participant. The first day provided review of fundamentals of MR imaging of the brain, and how MR & PET are presently used in the drug development process. The second day highlighted cutting-edge techniques which may form pH MRI methods of tomorrow.

The event was organized by Paul Matthews, GlaxoSmithKline Global Imaging Unit, and Thomas Nichols, University of Warwick Department of Statistics and Warwick Manufacturing Group.
