At the forefront of research and teaching in plant and environmental sciences, Warwick HRI has world-class facilities enabling internationally recognised scientists to develop pioneering areas of research and technology.  We apply our multidisciplinary expertise to solving major challenges in areas such as crop science, food security, bioenergy, systems biology and climate change.

From 1 October 2010 the Department of Biological Sciences and Warwick HRI will amalgamate to form the new School of Life Sciences. This exciting initiative brings together the renowned research and teaching excellence in the two departments, and will form a platform to further enhance multidisciplinary Life Sciences activity in the University.

External visitors, staff and current students should continue to use the current department web sites to access information about our teaching, research and business engagement activities and opportunities. Staff and current students can keep up to date with developments in the implementation of the new School of Life Sciences at the Life Sciences Initiative intranet site.
