Funding

Warwick Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre is committed to supporting adventurous, exciting, medium to long term high impact research.  Work that is incremental in nature with a low level of risk is less likely to qualify for WIMRC funding. It is open to funding researchers from all departments in the university, providing their project fits with WIMRC's strategy and that it meets the selection criteria.

WIMRC funds a number of different types of projects:

  1. Major Projects - adventurous research with medium to long term impact
  2. Scoping & Feasiblity work - preliminary work to "scope" the project or ensure it's feasiblity. Usually around 3 - 6 months
  3. Doctoral projects - PhD and EngD projects to nurture young researchers

Funding for Phase 2 is now 96% allocated and so, with the exception of a small number of proposals which have been previously discussed with Nick Mallinson, we don't plan to grant funding to any more new projects during Phase 2. If this situation changes we will put out a call.
