Designed for

MSc in International Technology Management is designed for those wishing to take a leading role in managing innovation and technological change in an international environment. It is suitable for those from a wider range of educational backgrounds and work experience.

We will provide you with

The knowledge to manage the development, acquisition and operation of technology in a global competitive environment and contribute to the management of international operations and collaborative activities.

You will develop the skills to generate solutions through product & process development and continually improve international competitiveness.

You will understand the impact of e-business technologies and develop skills to contribute to the strategic aspects of design management.

If you can gain exemption from some of the core modules because of prior experience or qualifications, then you may choose more electives.

Elective Modules

Elective modules allow you to select areas of study which are of particular interest to you, relevant to your project or future career plans. For international Technology Mangagement you can choose up two from the list of elective modules, at least one of which must be from the following list:

Automation & Robotics Manufacturing Process Technology
e-Commerce
Project Planning Management & Control
Enterprise Information Systems Quality, Reliability and Maintenance
Industrial Engineering
Manufacturing Technology
Information and Communication Technologies

Project

The project is worth 50% of the overall grade and supports you in developing your personal research skills.

For International Technology Management, the project will relate to the management of technology or technical functions in an international context.

Learning Style

Taught material is a blend of formal lectures, seminars, practical exercises and case studies to encourage teamwork and practical grounding of the material.

After You Graduate

Sucessful completion of this course can lead to employment as managers and leaders in a wide variety of key functions within manufacturing or service organisations, particularly where technology plays a significant part in business success.
