We will provide you withThe tools and techniques to evaluate, manage and improve service, operational and supply chain processes and conduct market analysis. You will gain the knowledge on how to evaluate and manage appropriate enabling technologies and use enterprise resource planning systems in order to improve the operational functions of a business. You will also develop a wide knowledge on strategy development and design. Course ModulesIf you can gain exemption from some of the core modules because of prior experience or qualifications, then you may choose more electives. Elective ModulesYou can choose two electives from the list of elective modules. If you gain exemption from some of the compulsory modules because of prior experience or qualifications, then you may choose more electives. ProjectThe project is worth 50% of the final grade and supports you in developing your personal research skills. For Supply Chain and Logistics Management the project can be related to a number of different industrial sectors and can address many different aspects of logistics management. Learning StyleTaught material is a blend of formal lectures, seminars, practical exercises and case studies to encourage teamwork and practical grounding of the material. Module leaders are experts in their fields and are supported by external speakers working in organisations at the forefront of their fields. Industrial visits are available to all students and the course is assessed through assignments. After You GraduateGraduates can expect to be employed many different manufacturing and service companies, including providers of third party logistics, aerospace and electrical/electronic products and technology-based firms. Postgraduate study is much less about just learning facts and concepts. While a lot of the topics covered are new to me, I find the most valuable aspect of study is to think about everything critically and to discuss the ideas presented in the lectures. My fellow students have such diverse backgrounds that it is always enriching to hear about their experience in so many different industries apart from just aviation which I am used to.
